OK, due to my ignorance I never knew Oswald, the Lucky Rabbit was created first and then due to arguments between Disney and Mintz over budgeting, Mintz got custody of Oswald and Disney produced Mickey Mouse, copying but altering Oswald’s apperance…and species.
The “half-brothers” went on to have their own careers. Obviously (well at least to me) Mickey had a greater run...
